Ultrasound Pictures

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!

So we found out today that we are having a boy! We are so excited and I cannot wait to see his beautiful face. We got two good pictures of his manhood to confirm that he was a boy. It was the sweetest thing to watch the ultrasound. He looked like he grabbed his nose and also looked like he was trying to suck his thumb in one picture. I will put the pictures up later.

For those of you who do not know, we are naming him Jasper Stephen. It is after one of Jeremy's great grandfathers.

It was funny too because Jeremy and I both wore blue today to the doctor. I am also glad it was a boy because Jeremy's aunt had already bought us a boy outfit.

Black Baby!

So know that I have told Josh's mom the story I am going to put it on here for everyone to get a little laugh. Josh was watching TV at my house last week and had an epiphany.

Josh: Caroline, you are going to have a black baby.
Me: Why do you say that Josh?
Josh: Because, black people have black babies.
Me: (trying not to laugh) Well Josh, I am not black.
Josh: (looking at me really confused)

The next day he had a pool party for his school and he said that one of the girls is in his class was black and she looked like me. I told Josh that she was not black either. I told Josh that I was Indian like the Pilgrims and Indians around Thanksgiving.

Josh: If you are Indian then what is Jeremy?
Me: (I should have said a pilgrim) He is just white.

Beth's Wedding

Not only do we have a countdown till we find out what we are having, but we also have a countdown till one of my best friends gets married. Beth is getting married on June 27th. The same day that we find out the sex of the baby, I also have to go and meet with a seamstress to determine what we are going to do with my bridesmaids dress. I found out that I was preggo 3 days after the dress shop ordered the dresses. I am hoping it will not be too bad. At 17 weeks, the dress still fit and I am hoping that it will be a easy alteration.

I found a Dr!!!!

So I have been looking for a pediatrician for the baby. I was really hoping to use the one I used growing up but I did not think she was taking new patients. I was talking to Diane yesterday and she thought that was the ped the our friend Mary used. Mary does use her and Diane emailed me the number and I called and she is still taking patients!!!! I always loved going to see her. I probably would have hated going to the dr more if she had not been there. I always got strep when I was little and I knew when I went to the dr that I would have to get a shot. All I have to do is go and visit her when I get closer to delivering.

My Mother-in-law's Birthday (a little late)

I am finally putting up pictures from our weekend in South Alabama. I wish I would have taken a picture of all the crawfish they cooked but it sure was good. I can not wait to have more! Katie Jill (Jeremy's Cousin) and I were the last ones standing. I probably would have eaten less but I was standing up while I was eating and I am sure that is why I ate so much. hehe!!

I also took video but I was told not to put any video up but we LOVE "The Inner Tubes."

So I begin the countdown!

So I am going a little crazy because Jeremy is at work and all I can think about is going to the doctor. I never thought I would be so excited about going to the doctor. I am ready for Jeremy to get home so that we can find out together. Even though I am being very impatient, I am soooo glad he will be back for the appointment. I know that that will be one of the first of many days that we will be able enjoy parenthood. I feel as though it will make it even more real to be able to see the baby again and to try and think about our life ahead.

I got an email today from one of the baby websites and it was talking about fear and anxiety and I am getting worried because the fear and anxiety have not set in. I hope it will be like my wedding and not hit me until the very last minute. I went to play bunco last night and the church member who was hosting is pregnant. She had just gotten the furniture put together and she is 34 weeks. Jeremy and I have already gotten so much put together and if we has a crib put up we would be about as far along as they were. I am glad I am doing it early that way I can just relax and not have to worry about that when I can not move things around as much.

Most of my friends know that I am not always the best planner so I feel as though I am going to try to improve that a little bit!

OOOO We Are Halfway There...OOOO Living On A Prayer!!

I not only can not wait until football season but also today marks my 20 week mark! I am so excited and I can not believe I am halfway to the arrival of Baby Adams. The first trimester went so slow but since then they have passed by so fast. I am also seeing more physical changes so they may also be why I feel as though it is going faster.

According to babycenter.com the baby is the size of a small cantaloupe. I just remember looking and the baby was the size of an olive. I am just glad the little cantaloupe is growing well and not making feel bad. I actually went a walked 2 miles the other day with my sister. I hope I can continue that.

The baby is moving!

I have been feeling some for sure kicks the past couple of days! At around 18 weeks, I started feeling like the baby was just pushing against my stomach but this week I am feeling kicking. Yesterday I felt it around 2:30 and again last night around 8. It is the coolest feeling. I drank some sweet tea at about 1 and I wonder if the baby was on some sort of sugar rush. Poor Jeremy wants to feel it but I hate that he will not be able to feel it for a few more weeks. I have tried to put my and on my stomach when he/she is kicking but then it stops so I don't even get to see if it feel different on the outside.

Glider

The past couple of days have been great. I had a wonderful Soon-To-Be Mother's Day and got all kinds of stuff. I got a breast pump, a camera, a my glider for the nursery, and a couple of other gifts. It was so good.

I am looking bigger by the day and still feeling great. I hope that continues. I will be half way through the pregnancy on Thursday. Time has flown by. In the first trimester I did not think it could go any slower but now it seems to be going so fast. I am just trying to get things ready around the house so that I will not be doing it when I get really big.

Camera!!

So I guess I have complained about my camera enough that Jeremy got me a new one for Mother's Day. I was not expecting anything so when he sent me in to get it, I started crying as soon as I started reading the card. It was so sweet! I will definitely have some pictures up of this weekend when I get back. I am so excited about being able to use it.

I will get Jeremy to take some belly pictures too! The ones I put on Facebook were not too good so I will get someone else to do that job.

19 Weeks!!!

WOW!! I can not believe that I am 19 weeks. I am almost halfway there! I had my first encounter of someone, who did not know me, asking how many weeks I am today. It was kind of exciting and maybe everyone will not think that I am not just some really fat girl.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM-IN-LAW!!!!!! I will not tell everyone how old you are!

I am really excited about this weekend. We are headed to south Alabama to eat crawfsh. I love crawfish and they are so yummy. Our child will love spicy foods because I eat so much. I like to eat the spicy crawfish they make. Ummmmm!! I secretly think I have some cajun in me but maybe the baby can get some from Jeremy.

Sailing

well, Jeremy has gone to go on a sailing adventure with my dad and some of his friends. My dad and his friends are buying a sailboat and Jeremy decided he wanted to go on a road trip. It cracks me up the Jeremy is going to hang out with a bunch of retired men for three days.

Also, I found my camera so I will post some pictures soon! I finally have a belly so I will also be putting up those pictures soon. I still think it looks like I ate way too much but it is rounder now! I am trying to convince Jeremy that I need a new camera. I like my camera now but I think it is getting time to retire it. I want one that can take better pictures.
