long time, no post

It has been forever since I have posted anything. Nothing exciting has been going on around the house so I have not had much to talk about. I think Jeremy is getting so bored talking to me on the phone because I have nothing fun to tell him. I do have our Christmas pictures that I can post. We went to Sears for our pictures. I was happy with them but I can not wait to get some made professionally in his christening gown.

I have done some Christmas shopping and should be finished on Monday. I did a lot of my shopping online this year since it is hard to get out with Jasper. I did not want to go to the mall this weekend because I know that it is going to be very crowded. I am hoping that on Monday morning it will not be as bad. I need to get one more thing at the mall.

Let the fun begin!

I am on my own again and I feel much more confident this time than the last. We have had many trips in the car while Jeremy was here so I am hoping we will be getting out and about while he is gone. We have a few errands that I need to run to get ready for Christmas.

Another reason the fun is beginning is that we bought a Wii yesterday! Jeremy surprised me when we were at Wal-Mart and got one. I am hoping it will be another workout alterntive to using my eliptical. I am so excited. I am already back at my pre-preggo weight but there is a lot of toning and more weight loss to go. I am hoping to get the ball rolling soon.

Jasper is 2 months!!

It has been awhile since I have posted. We have been so busy with family stuff. Thanksgiving is my Dad's family big holiday so we usually have dinner for about 4 days straight and not just one on Thanksgiving. Jasper also took his first trip to South Alabama. We got to see all of Jeremy's family.

Daddy is coming home!!!

A day late, but Jeremy will be home tomorrow!!!!! He is so mad he was not here today but I am just glad it will not take any longer.

The next couple of weeks will be so busy. We have to go get pictures made, go and visit Santa, do our usual Thanksgiving festivities, and many more. I already feel tired thinking of all the things we have to do. Oh, I almost forgot...in all the craziness, we have to decorate for Christmas because Jeremy will be gone.

Sunday will be an exciting day for us too. We are having Jasper baptised. I am doing it around Thanksgiving because I knew my Dad's side of the family would have a chance to come because they all come in for Thanksgiving. Be looking for pictures on Sunday or Monday!

Recent purchases

I got my order in from babysakes.com. I was so excited that they came in before Jeremy got home so that we can get our pictures made.

Nothing exciting to update on. Jasper is still having pooping issues so we will continue to give him suppositories every couple of days until the problem resolves.

Our little man

Jasper is growing so fast. I took pictures of him the other day because he looked like a little man in his outfit. I keep trying to catch him smiling but I never have my camera handy plus, he hates getting his picture made (what a man).

Christmas outfits

I have been looking for Jasper a cute outfit to wear for Christmas. Well, I found two! I could not decide so I bought both. My dad said to tell my mom that one is from her so she does not go and buy one. I hated to pay so much for something he will not wear too much so I finally found one that would not break the bank. I found it at babysakes.com. I was going to post a picture but they are copyrighted so I will after they come in.

At the same website I also got a Santa's cookies plate with mug. I was going to get one from Pottery Barn Kids but this one was cheaper and just as cute.

This is my new favorite website and I will defintely be checking them out throughout the year for more deals!

Homestead Hollow and anniversary flowers

Last week was a crazy week. I thought Jasper was having pooping issues but everything was normal. I was just a worried, first-time mom. I did not realize that breastfeed babies did not have to poop as often as everything tells you. I guess he is just eating as much as he needs.

Sunday we went to Homestead Hollow. It was fun and I love the food. My hungry hippo ate the whole time. My arms are still recovering. I have a sling to put him in but I have not practiced with it enough to know how to breastfeed with him in it. I will practice when Jeremy gets home so I have help to get him in. We also got or picture made with Santa while we were there. It was a take your own picture kind of thing, it was free too. The Santa's legs were hanging out between his pants and boots. The Santa was a little below par but it will not be the only picture we get with Santa.

I finally found my memory card adapter so I a posting pictures of the beautiful flowers that Jeremy and Jasper gave me for our 3 year anniversary.

Happy Anniversary!!

WOW! It has been 3 years today since Jeremy and I got married. It has been so great and I do not think I could have found anyone better! I am such a lucky girl. Jeremy surprised me with flowers. I was so surprised when the florist called this morning to see if I was home. I would put a picture up but I can not find the adapter to upload my pictures. I will put some old pictures up though.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Happy Halloween and Jasper is 1 month old!!

Today Jasper is 1 month old! I can not believe it. We had a fun time last night at Ya-Ya and Papa's house. They ended up only having one trick or treater. I got more at my house with the lights off.

Jasper has been sleeping better but only if you swaddle him. He has been taking 3 and 4 hours naps during the day and at night. The only problem is that I can not put him down. He will not sleep if someone is not holding him. So even though he is sleeping good, I still cannot get anything done. We will see how long it takes to stop this :(

SLEEP YAY!!!

This is Jasper sleeping this afternoon. I tried to move him but it only lasted about 3 minutes of him not sleeping with me in front of the Boppy pillow. He just looked so sweet!

I was so excited to wake up this morning a realize that Jasper slept 5 hours straight last night. It was so nice to realize that he may be able to do this. I am really hoping he does this more often. He has only done this one other time but maybe this will continue. I would really be glad for just 3 hours!

Today I went to the Dr for my check-up and everything was good. While we were at the hospital, we went up to Labor and Delivery and saw everyone and then we went to the Nursery to see all of those nurses. We also brought them some cookies and I hope they liked them. He did so well while we were at the hospital and I only wish that this would continue while Jeremy is gone.

Thank goodness for my mom too. She took off work today to help me. She came over here early this morning so that I could take a shower and get ready. They were so cute sleeping on the couch while I got ready.

Please keep Jeremy's Nanny is your prayers. She fell down her stairs today and they think she might have broken a vertebrae in her back.

1 month check-up

Today we went to the Dr for Jasper's 1 month check up. We did it a little early so that Jeremy would be here for it. So apparently the weight the nurse gave us last was wrong. He weighed in at 8 lbs and 10 oz today. The Dr was not worried about anything but she suggested that we start him on some vitamins since he is exclusively breastfed and does not get any iron. He got his first dose today. He did not fuss but he did spit a little out. I would have too because it did not smell like it would taste very good.

I am so excited about this weekend. Jasper has a little tiger costume and we are going to go over to my Parent's house and have our first Halloween.

How we spend our days...

I am completely out of touch on what is going on outside our home besides what I see on TV. I am enjoying having a husband who takes wonderful care of me and Jasper. It is kind of hard to get out when Jasper eats every 1.5-2 hours. I will be really excited when his feedings start to spread out.

I have been catching up on my sleep since Jasper and I nap together. I am putting up a picture of Jasper sleeping. He went from sleeping on my chest to my lap. He just wiggles down into the spot that he is comfortable in.

Growing so much

I do not have any new pics to put up as of right now because my camera battery died and I just charged it up on Friday. I promise I will put more up soon.

Thursday we went to the DR and Jasper has grown so much. Thursday was his 2 week check-up. At 1 week, his weight was 8lbs 7 oz. When we went on Thursday, his weight was 9 lbs 9 oz! He gained about 18 oz in a week. I know he had lost a pound after he was born but I did not think he would make it up that quick. I am glad he growing but my goodness. He is already growing so fast that I can not believe it.

Jasper had another round of visitors this weekend. Josh and Jessica came on Friday and so did his Meme, Pops (Jeremy's Parents), Papaw and Memaw (Jeremy's Grandparents), and Suzanne (Jeremy's sister). On Saturday Jeremy's aunt Deb, cousin Misty and her two kids came. On Sunday, Beth and her sister Whitney came by. We have had another busy weekend.

Jeremy wanted to make sure that I put that he was being a good Daddy and he is. He is not only being a GREAT Daddy but also an amazing husband. I do not know how people do this without the help of their husbands. I am so blessed to have two amazing boys in my life!!!

I'm Lovin' it

The new life I have entered into is wonderful. We have been blessed with such a wonderful little boy. He only fusses when something is wrong such as a dirty diaper or hungry. I just hope he keeps it up for a while.

The most amazing thing is watching Jeremy hold him and help out. He does everything and more. Since I had to have a c-section, I have needed more help doing some things and he has continued helping so much. I actually had to beg to do dishes. I never thought doing dishes would make me feel so accomplished.

Today has been the first day we have not had visitors and it was great. Even though I have been SO THANKFUL to have so much help and I am glad we have had friends come over to visit, it was nice not to have anyone over. I feel the need to entertain when people are over or at least show my face so I sometimes have done more than I should.

I am feeling much better now and I am able to do more and more things everyday. I hate not being able to do things around the house. I am by myself so much that I am used to taking care of things and not being able to has drove me crazy.

Bilirubin=blah

Our poor baby had a crazy entrance and has decided to keep up the excitement. His bilirubin levels have been dropping so we have had to put up a UV light in his room and he has to lay under it as much as he can. I can not wait until all this is over. I am hoping for a good report tomorrow when we go back. I also get my staples removed tomorrow and I am hoping it will be easier to move around and not drive me so crazy.

Jasper is growing stronger day by day and of course I think he is getting more precious everyday. The best thing is watching his smile. I think that he may even have dimples! We will have to see!

Jasper Stephen 10.01.09

Our beautiful boy arrived on October 1, 2009 at 4:11 PM. He had a fun arrival and lasted through 29 hours of labor until they ruled it failure to progress. The main reason I was in labor so long was because I am one of the few whose water broke before they went into labor.

By the time they decided that I was not progressing I was so ready to have him that I did not even want to listen to what the Dr had to say. I was just SO ready to meet him. We all were still thinking that he was trying to wait for his Dad to get there but I guess I could not wait any more.

Jeremy always makes fun of me because I never cry at important events but I assured him that I did cry when I heard Jasper cry for the first time. The anesthesiologist had to wipe my glasses off.

Our Jasper had to spend his first couple of days in the NICU, which was not a fun experience but we LOVED all of his nurses. They were great! He could not keep his oxygen levels up because he he took too big of a breath at first and made a little hole in the sack around his lungs (that is the easiest way to explain). He luckily got to come home on the same day as me which made me so happy because I was tried of sleeping in a hospital bed.

Today has been a great first full day at home. We have taken naps, had lots of feedings, and had our first bath! He is more beautiful everyday.

6 days to go!!

I went to the Dr today and they said I was still 1 cm. YAY!!!! I am hoping that means that Jasper will stay in. Jeremy was very excited even though I have not been able to talk to him. He had to call his mom to find out because I left my phone on silent. I am hoping he will not be so nervous about everything.

When we got home from the Dr, I employed my dad to clean the house and to work on our pool. The rain messed up the salt in our pool and a bunch of runoff water got in it and our pool is turning green. It is gross. I have the best dad! He cleaned the shower, toilets, sinks and even vacuumed the whole house! I am also so lucky because my mom has been staying with me since Jeremy has been gone, just in case. I now have a clean house, even though it is not quite to my standards it is clean enough to make me happy. I have become really picky since I have gotten pregnant. I am trying not to be so bad but I am just glad it is done.

7 day countdown

There are 7 days until Jeremy comes home! I am hoping to continue sitting on the couch until he gets here. I do not really do anything all day besides look at facebook so I do not have much to talk about. Come Monday, as long as Jasper has not come, I will be going like a whirlwind. I will be doing everything to get ready for Jeremy to come home and hopefully Jasper in the days after Jeremy gets home! I have made a nice place here in the living room were I sit all day. I am enjoying it a little more but ready for Jeremy to be here. I am sure you may be tired of hearing that but I am so ready for him to be back! The countdown will continue tomorrow, maybe I will have something fun to talk about!

Belly Buttons!

I think I have been asked more than a dozen times if I still have a belly button...I do. I actually think I have the belly button that never ends. I was really hoping that I would be able to see the end of it but with four days to go, I do not think my wish will come true. Oh well. I can feel the end of it but I can still not see it. My mom said that she even remembers me having a deep belly button.

We are on the official countdown until we HOPE Jasper comes. There are 4 days until my actual due date but 8 until Jeremy comes home. Let's continue to hope for 8 so the countdown begins!!!!!

Sleeping...my new past time!

Wednesday and Thursday last week I felt bad and that started a new sleep pattern for me. All I want to do is sleep. Although it has taken me a couple of days to find the right position, I think I could now sleep all day if I did not have to eat. Today I woke up, ate breakfast, stayed up for a couple of hours, went back to sleep for a couple of hours, and I have gotten up and I am starving. I am hoping this is just what the baby will do too and it is may body just adjusting early?? Who knows?? I am really just glad that I found a position to sleep in that allows me to sleep for more than five minutes at a time.

The joys of pregnancy! I never thought I would enjoy a nap or good sleep so much.

I am really excited too today because my old roommate is having her baby today!! I am routinely checking facebook because her mom is posting pictures of what is going on. I am so jealous because almost everyone I know that was preggo has already had their baby and I am just waiting on Jeremy to get home. I can not wait to hold him in my arms and look into his beautiful eyes. Just seeing every one's baby just shows the miracle children are. Like the title of my blog, they are God's wonderful gifts and made perfectly!

See you soon baby Jasper!

39 weeks!! woo hoo!!

I am officially 39 weeks today!!! Now I just have to make it 2 more for Jeremy to be home. I am REALLY hoping I can. I am definitely feeling really preggo now. I think I could almost sleep all day if I just did not get hungry. I go to the Dr on Tuesday so we will see if we can possibly make it two weeks.

Dr. Appointment!

I went to my weekly dr appointment today and everything is still going great! I was still 1 cm but I was 25% effaced. Everything needs to be at 100% effaced and 10cm to start pushing but it can take a while to get to 100%. If you are wondering what effaced means is kind of means thinned out (your cervix). Sorry boys and girls if this creeps you out.

The dr even made the note in my charts that Jeremy would not be home until the 8th so maybe they will be extra nice when the check me and not cause too many changes. I hope I can keep up the good check up until Jeremy gets back!

No More Wal-Mart...

So, I am sure you guys all know that we are hoping that Jasper stays in a little later so that Jeremy is home. I have my "rules" Jeremy gave me so that I do not help mother nature any. Well, I thought I could handle Wal-Mart because I had gone to Target the day before but I guess I over estimated myself. By the time I left, I felt like Jasper was going to fall out. It doesn't help that they are redoing our Wal-Mart and everything is in a new place. But, I have been instructed that I am not allowed to go back unless I use one of those scooters!

Happy Birthday!!!

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Jeremy, happy birthday to you!!!!1

Today Jeremy turns the big 27! I know this is a little late to post but I love you and I am so lucky to be married to you. I can not wait for you to become a daddy (actually I am going to try to wait until you get home)!!! I know you will be the best Dad ever!!!!! I better stop because I am a crazy, hormonal preggo woman and I may start crying.

I LOVE YOU AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Heart beats and Hiccups

I forgot to talk about the cutest thing that happened at the doctor. I really think Jasper already likes my Dr because he is always awake and moving when we go to see her. The cutest and funniest thing happened when we went yesterday. While the DR was checking his heartbeat he got the hiccups. It was the cutest sound and maybe I am just crazy to get excited and be entertained by such simple things but it was so sweet.

I also forgot to say that I measured exactly 37 cm so he is still growing right on time!

Jeremy left this morning for work so I am just going to sit here for the next three weeks and do the least I can do so that Jeremy will be home. If you can think of anything for me to do, please let me know. I am already bored :(

1 down...nine to go

I went to the Dr today and we found out that I am 1 cm dialated and 0% effaced. My blood pressure was also amazing at 100/58 so I am not worrying about getting pre-ecclampsia. We were hoping that I would not be too much farther than this. We are still hoping that Jasper waits an extra week to come. We were talking after the appointment that if I can last till Jeremy comes back home from work that we will go walk 4 miles and do whatever we can to get Jasper out after he gets back. I REALLY want Jeremy to already be home and me not have to call while he is at work.

Jeremy really loves me! After my appointment today I was really hungry and he was not but he still took me to Milos for my cheeseburger and apple pie. It was so good. I have been trying to eat really well but all I ever want is food that I never eat and is so bad for me. I still have not gained any weight within the last month so I guess I am doing ok.

Pictures of the Jasper's Room

We have been so busy getting the house ready and having baby showers that I have finally finished the baby room. We are now ready for him to come any day or at least we have every baby gizmo that we have been told that we need. I am including pictures of everything, even the closet. I am kind of proud of the nesting bug that has bit me and EVERYTHING in the closet has a specific place besides some blankets because I think I have gotten 1000. So here it goes...

Geez, we have been busy!

We have now completed all four baby showers. I do not think we could have had another one with out getting doubles of everything. We only got doubles of a couple of things. We went Monday to finish getting everything else we need from our registries. We ended up spending only $60 after we used gift cards! I was so excited. We even have more gift cards to use! Our baby is so blessed to have so many wonderful people in his life.

We have been getting the house ready for Jasper to come too. We had to get rid of our cat because she was not adjusting and I am sure she could tell something big was about to happen and I am just not sure if she could have handled it. I hope she finds a good home.

We have cleaned the house from top to bottom. Jeremy said he has never seen a house this clean in his life, even though I still see many things to clean.

Today we are making Gumbo for Bunco tomorrow! I LOVE gumbo and I hope everyone likes it tomorrow. It is his nanny's recipe and she is from Louisiana so it is authentic. I love making cajun food and I really enjoy eating it. I am so glad I married into a family who has a cajun background because the food is soooo good.

I went to the DR last Friday and got my Group B Strep test and they checked to see if there were and changes. I was not dialated at all and he said there was nothing going on so we will wait until Tuesday when we go back again. I am hoping for a little change but not too much since we want him to stay in an extra week so Jeremy is home. I have strick orders to stay on the couch with my feet up when Jeremy leaves.

Sorry for such a long post.

You know you are pregnant when...

You can eat a bowl of popcorn while it is sitting on your stomach and you do not have to hold the bowl.

Jeremy was making fun of me tonight while we were eating some popcorn. It is so convenient to have a belly big enough to rest things on now. The only problem is, when I am eating, I tend to drop food on my stomach.

Football!!

I was really excited to find out that we should be going to Josh and Jessica's for the Auburn game this weekend! I have missed seeing and taking to Jessy. We have both been so busy this summer that we have not been able to talk as much. I am just glad that Jeremy found a place to watch the game too.

WAR EAGLE!!!!!!

Well, my cat randomly got fleas. She is an inside cat so who knows where they came from. Jeremy came home and fixed that problem after I tried. Now we have to clean the carpet in the house before we move everything back in there. I feel like when we get the carpets cleaned then we will be ready for baby Jasper to come!

I am ready for Jasper to come and I know Jeremy is too! Although we want him to be about a week late, I can not wait to meet him. I can not wait to hold him in my arms and be able bring him to him new home!

Jeremy is home!!

I am so excited that I got to go pick Jeremy up from the airport yesterday. I was sooo ready for him to be home. He was just as excited! Jasper knew his Daddy was home because he put on a show last night and this morning. Jeremy could feel him through my mommy Boppy pillow that I sleep with. He was going everywhere and Jeremy was playing with him. I am sure you are wondering how Jeremy can play with him but Jasper kicks back when you push on him. It is really funny.

Today is our day of rest. Jeremy usually does this the day he after he gets home. I am hoping he will be my pool boy tomorrow!! I need some more sun before summer ends. Next week we will get down to business. I will not start until Monday afternoon because I am going for a day of pampering. I am going to get a pregnancy massage and a facial. I figure it will be the last time for a while that I will get to spend a day on me. I can not wait.

I also have a shower on Sunday. It will be the third one I have. I only have one more after this one.

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

DONE!!!!!!

I have been a slave in the kitchen today but I have finished cooking. I wanted to go ahead and finish cooking before my feet started hurting too bad. I made lasagna, tex mex lasagna, and sour cream dip casserole. I already had a Sicilian casserole and Mac & cheese. I would like to thank Mellisa for the recipe. I am definitely going to make it just not today because it sounds soooo yummy.

Jeremy is off the rig and will be home tomorrow!!! I am so excited!!

I also called to day and got an appointment with our pediatrician. We will be using the same one that I used growing up. I can not wait to see her next week. I have not been there is 6 or 7 years and I think it is crazy that she is still practicing.

I got some of my books I won on eBay yesterday. I am going to to get one more shipment of Dr. Seuss books (my fav). I still can not believe that I won two with really no battle.

Two down, five to go!

Since I have the nesting bug and have been reading a lot of baby websites that tell you to precook meals, I am on a roll. I would have three but decided to eat one instead of freezing it. It was yummy and I am going to make another to freeze. I feel like I could feed my family for the month. I hope by doing all this I will not be stressed or get hungry after the baby is born.

Some of the recipes I have gotten from other people so I have never tried them but they all sound good and I am not a picky eater. I will let everyone know how they turnout afterward.

This is random and completely off the subject but I am just thinking about it a lot lately since I have been reading about babies in my Babycenter Birth Club that have already been born. Also, a girl I know that is due about 2 weeks before me has posted info about her Dr. appointments. At my next Dr. appointment they will start doing internal checks to see it I am dilated at all. I am interested to see if Jasper is not just measuring on time but ready to come on time. I know that I could be 2 cm and stay that way for a while but I just can not wait to see if there is any changes. I am pretty sure he dropped the other day. I have to pee a lot more and have a little more pressure in my pelvis. According to everything I have read, this is why I think he has dropped and I look like I have a beer belly even more now. Sorry if this is too much info but I guess you get to a point where things just do not bother you anymore.

Last night my mom, Mrs. B and I went to Sips N Strokes. We were the only people there. It was so much fun. I was hoping to put this picture over my bed but I am still deciding. I miss going there. If anyone ever needs a painting partner just call me and I am ready to go anytime!

Dr. Appointment

I went to the doctor today and she said everything looks great! I measured exactly 34 cm, right on time. I am hoping that means that I will not have a huge baby like I was thinking. He has definitely dropped and is in the head down position. I can feel him tugging on my stomach. I want to walk around holding my stomach up because he is so heavy.

Birth Announcements

So I have been looking all around and I can not decide which birth announcements to use. Some of you may know that I have done his room in a western theme and I found a photo card at Walmart that has boots on it but I also really like another one from a different website. If you have time, please leave a comment on which one you like better.

34 weeks today!!

ONLY 6 MORE WEEKS TO GO!!!!!!!!!

I have been feeling poopy this week which is what I expected about the third trimester. I just get tired faster now. I cleaned the house last night and I felt like I had run a marathon. I am trying to wait on Jeremy to do a lot of things but there are just some things I just cannot wait to do. My nesting just kicks in and I usually get a huge burst of energy for a short time.

I have gotten a little more things done in Jasper's room. When Jeremy gets back home I will put up some pictures. I need him to do some stuff before I put up pictures.

I am pregnant!!

Well, in case you didn't know I am having a baby I am and now I am really feeling it. I have almost forgotten how terrible the first trimester was because I have felt so good the past couple of months. I am slowly starting to get tired quicker and really feeling like I am pregnant. I feel useless because there are things I wish I could do around the house but I can not do certain things anymore. I am getting frustrated.

I got to go and see baby Sean today. One of the other couples at our church had a baby in June and I got to go over for a little while. Sharon, his mom, is trying to get prepared to go back to work and is having problems finding a bottle he will use. I had two that she had not tried and brought them over to her.

So I can not stay away from Babies R Us. I hate to go into Birmingham and not go by there. I have tried my hardest to stay away since I have been having showers but I could not resist today. I got a few things off of the registry but I remind my mom that there are plenty of other things for people to buy.

Getting things done

I feel as though my whole personality has changed because I have become so much more concerned with things that have never bothered me. I have been bit by the cleaning bug and I have been so much more concerned about the little things. I am sure many will say it is a pregnancy thing but I hope it continues and I am sure Jeremy does too. I am slowly getting things done around the house and when Jeremy is home I work him like a dog to get caught up from when he was at work.

I have finally closed off the baby's room from our cat and she is slowly getting adjusted. I am tired of cleaning up the cat hair from so many rooms. We are also going to get all the carpet and tile cleaned when Jeremy gets home to get the house ready for baby.

Speaking of baby, Jasper is growing like crazy. My stomach is getting bigger week by week. He is keeping me up at night kicking and moving about. I picked up one of the Kahler kids from school today and one of the teachers made me feel so good. She was the first person to tell me that I did not look big. She said she was so big that I do not even compare.

When I get the room back in order I will take pictures and put them up. I am hoping I can do that tomorrow.

The bedding is in!

I finally got my bedding that I ordered at the beginning of July. It was suppossed to be here mid July. As soon as it came in, I washed it and it is now on the bed. It looks so cute! I am glad that everyone will be able to see it when they come to visit!

I also decided to start washing baby clothes. I am in full nesting mode and I am loving it. I still have a lot of things to clean and go through.

32 week dr. appointment

I went to the doctor today. I was excited that I only gained 1/2 a pound in 2 weeks. I guess I am still one of those people who is worrying about weight gain while preggo. Even though I apparently look like I am having twins, I am measuring right on time.

Note to everyone:
If you see a pregnant woman do not ask them if they are having twins or give them the deer in head lights look when they tell you their due date. I promise they want you to keep all negative comments to yourself. I am not gripping (well maybe a little) but I would never think to do or say that but it happens quite often to me.

I guess I have gotten used to the crazy comments and looks so much that now I laugh. It just amazes me how often it happens.

While Jeremy was home we stayed busy the entire time and had amost no down time. We did notget to finish everything on our to do list but we tried. We went to Auburn to see friends, had a great baby shower, and went to the beach. I think I have caught you guys up on all of the events that have occurred over the past couple of weeks.

Feeling poopy :(

So I am into my third trimester and my stomach is hurting again, I am getting tired, and I have had a headache two times this week. I am getting back into the felings I had during my first trimester just not as bad. I just hope it doesn't get worse.

My friend Jessic ais also expecting and she is going through ther first trimester and she has it worse than I did. I hope it gets better for her like it did me. At least if you are feeling sick you know things are going good.

I was supposed to get my bedding in this week and of course the offices are closed today and will not call anyone back until Monday. I am getting impatient but only because I really want to get it set up. I really do not need it right now but I think it will make me feel better once it is in.

Happy birthday to me!

I had a great birthday day. The kids were good today and we swam for a little while. I cleaned up the house a little bit for Jeremy and went to eat at P.F. Chang's with my mom and sister.

My dad called me twice earlier today and never mentioned my birthday which did not surprise me. He eventually talked to my mom and she reminded him. When he called me a third time he told me happy birthday. I told him I figured he had forgotten and he said that you have to remember to forget. If you know my dad that comment would not surprise you. Unfortunately, I have the same memory when it comes to birthdays.

Jeremy is coming home!!

Jeremy is finally coming home after being gone for over 6 weeks. I am so ready for him to be here. I think he may be more ready than me.

Also, I would like to say that I had a great early birthday party today with the Kahler family. We had a good dinner at the Pizza Hut which is a great place to go with kids when they have the buffet. They surprised me with an ice cream cake! It was so yummy and the kids and I will have the rest tomorrow after swimming.

I am feeling as big as a cow these days. I am slowly feeling like a pregnant woman again. I have started getting hot, nauseated, and the braxton hicks contractions are coming a little stronger. I feel like I am going back to my first trimester, YAY! I am just glad Jeremy will be home to rub my back now!

Funny story of the day!

I went to see my sister at work today. I pulled into the parking lot and these two older gentlemen were parked beside me. As I was getting out they said, "lookin' good tonight." I was shocked to hear this since I am oh so preggo. After I got out of the car, I overheard then saying, " I didn't realize she was pregnant until she got out."

It took everything in me not to laugh like crazy as I walked by them. I guess I should be glad I still have it when I am seven months pregnant. It did make me feel better since I am beginning to feel like I am as big as a house these days. So I guess I should say thank you to old men is sports cars!

Finally talked to my husband

I was finally able to talk to Jeremy again tonight. He says the rumor is that he will be coming home next week. I asked him if they were holding them hostage. He said they look like they are because they have a new work uniform of orange cover-alls and an orange hard hat. I am sure glad Jeremy at least likes the color!

Some more Kahler funnies

So, I know I talk about the kids I watch a lot but I can not help it. They say and do some of the cutest things. This week has been another educational week on the topic of race/ethnicity. I guess the kids are becoming more aware of their surroundings.

The other day, Helen Rose was talking to me and she said the she was light white and I was dark white. Since she knows I am not black, I guess this is her way of separating different types of people.

Today we were driving through Warrior and there was a man riding in the back of the truck and the little one pointed out that he was black. I said yes he is. I then explained to them that God created everyone and that he just made people different colors. I also told them that people from different places may look different too. I then explained to them that we are in God's family no matter what they look at.

I hope they can remain indifferent when it comes to different people. I always try to help them understand that not everyone looks like them or me but we were all created by God and that we should treat everyone equal.

So Tired

I am about to hit my third trimester and the tiredness is creeping up. I think my major problem is that I have too many things to do on the weekends. I am hoping that it is because I have just had a lot to do and that this is not going to get like I was during my first trimester.

I attended my second childbirth class this weekend. It was so much better than the first class. I am one of those crazy women who wants to go through labor without drugs. I am not against them; I would just rather not use them. I am taking classes on the Bradley Method which teaches you relaxation techniques. I really like this method instead of just teaching you breathing techniques. The classes also go over other things that will occur during the time too.

Baby talk

I am wanting to keep up with not only how the pregnancy is going but also things that are going on around me. One of my favorite things that happens just about everyday is that the kids I watch love to talk to my belly. Usually they just lean over and talk or just run up to my stomach and talk to it. Today they little ones wanted to talk to the baby while we were in the pool.

Josh and Helen Rose were playing with the snorkel and would put their faces in the water and talk to the baby into the snorkel. It was so cute. They would take turns with the snorkel and tell Jasper to be a good boy. Sometimes I wish I could rcord it and show it to Jasper and the kids when they get older to show them how sweet they were. I know I will have tons of stories to tell Josh and Helen Rose about things they did since I have been watching them!

He is a mover and a shaker

I am lying on the coach right now and Jasper is soooo active. He has been so active the last couple of days. I went to the Dr on Monday and the Dr said that I am measuring right on time so maybe he won't be so big. If I haven't put it on here before, Jeremy weighed 9 lbs and 13 oz and I was 8 lbs 10 oz. I am hoping is is not too big.

I am really excited too because I ordered my bedding today. I decided to order it online because they were having a sale this weekend and also because there is not a store that carries it and they would have to order it too.

My dogs are barking

So the wedding was yesterday and everything was beautiful. There were a couple of issues that arose but everything worked out in the end. I took a few pics of the reception but we were go busy taking pictures that that is the only place that I took pictures.

Last night when I got in I noticed that my feet were a little swollen. By the time woke up for church my feet were very swollen. My mom came over and took my blood pressure to make sure it wasn't too high. It was a little high so I rested a while before I went to my first childbirth class. When I got back home, I put my feet up and took a nap. My feet look sooooo much better but it will be good to be off of them tomorrow too besides my Dr appointment.

I will put some pictures up of the weekend. I am so glad that Beth found her happily ever after!

Going to the chapel!

We had the rehearsal and dinner tonight for Beth's wedding. Everything went well and the food was great. It was especially good because I have started craving meat again and we had bbq. I am getting ready to go to bed to prepare for a LONG day tomorrow. Beth is going to look beautiful!

I also hope my dress fits. The last time I tried it on was last Wednesday and I still had a little room to grow. I went to A Pea in a Pod today and bought some mama spanx just to make sure everything fits.

Jeremy is STILL at work and probably will not be back for at least another week. He has no clue when he will be coming back but I hope it is not too much longer.

Rest in peace

I would also like to say that today was a very sad day for the people in the lives of Michael Jackson and Farrah Faucett. I pray for their families that they may find relief as they mourn their deaths.

funny fingers

I have had a fairly good pregnancy with almost no issues except for the random start of carpal tunnel syndrome. It is really the only problem I have had. It is so annoying though. At the moment, I can not really feel some of my fingertips on my right hand.

I am glad that my only problem has been that I can not always feel my fingers or my hand and I hope it continues to go as well.

100 days to go!!

I can not believe that we only have 100 days to go! I am trying to get ready and I am finding more and more things that I need to get. Diane reminded me today that I need something for people to sign when they come to visit. I am so glad that I have her for a friend and resource because there are so many things that I would not think of or remember. I do not have a lot of other mommy friends to ask their thought or opinions so every little bit helps.

I am trying to decided what things I need and what things are just extras. Diane gave me a man bag for Jeremy to carry for the diaper bag today. It was the diaper bag that Paul (her husband) used with their first son. I think Jeremy will be glad to know he has a man bag because my bag that I have is bright, shiny gold.

I guess I have been out in the sun too much!

So I have another funny Josh story. I took the two youngest Kahler's to the dance studio today for Helen Rose's dance camp. I was showing Josh pictures of when Erin was a senior in high school and there was another girl in one of the pictures that just happened to be black. Poor Josh just gets me confused about my race all the time. He asked if the other girl in the picture was me! I just laughed again because Josh is so precious.

He has also found a new hobby of photography. He took some really good pictures that his mom showed me and he took a couple picture of my belly. His mom said he talks about Jasper when I am not there. I wish I could record all the conversations that Josh and Helen Rose have with my belly.

Jasper the Karate Kid

So, Jasper is loving being active and kicking me all the time still. I am gong to go ahead and apologize to everyone who goes to church with me because he is going to be the kid that is noisy during the times when he should be quiet. I am going to have a permanent spot in the back of the church. As soon as I sit down for church, he starts kicking and really doesn't stop until mass is over. He is especially active when Father Deering is talking (which I know will drive him crazy). Maybe he will get all of it out now and be good during church.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

Taking care of business

I said that I would post pictures from my sister's birthday. These are pictures of my sister and my hubby!

My parents and sister are on vacation in Key Largo right now. I wish I was on vacation. Jeremy found out today that he is making the tow to Mexico so who knows when we will be able to go on a vacation. I hate that I can not plan a vacation right now. I am so ready for one.

Bachelorette Party and Birthday

One of my best friend is getting married this Saturday! We had her bachelorette party Friday and we celebrated her birthday on Saturday. We had so much fun! I was great to get some of our friends together and have some good girl time. It was pretty laid back. We went to our usual dinner at P.F. Chang's. We have gone there for all of our bachelorette parties. We went there so much in high school, and it just reminds us of old times.

Of course my camera's batteries were dead so the only pictures I have were of Beth opening up her birthday present this morning.

So far behind

I have not posted in forever. I know I haven't posted in a while when Jeremy makes a comment. I will have to put up pictures from my sister's birthday last week tomorrow but Erin turned 19! I can not believe my sister is 19. I love it because she still calls to ask me what she should wear like she did when she was younger. I guess some things will never change.

Jeremy is back at work until who knows when. They are moving his rig to Mexico and they do not have a specific date yet to see if Jeremy will go with it or come back home while they move it.

I think my cat finally heard my pleas to use her litter box. She has used it non-stop for over a month. Jeremy was about ready to get rid of her and he probably still would. I am so proud of her for not getting mad when we took the bed out of the baby's room, too.

I will be watching all three Kahler's this summer. The kids said they would rather stay with me than go to daycare. I think that is because they get to play all of their video games while they are with me. I am excited to spend the summer with them and watch them grow.

I have been cleaning the house like crazy. I have caught myself being really excited to clean doors. I think I could clean everyday and all day. I guess my body knew my house needed it. hehe!

Stirrup Pants

I had a fun day today looking for baby clothes at baby Gap and walking around The Summit. I went to A Pea in a Pod to see what they had since most of my regular clothes are starting to get too small. I asked the lady working about some back stretch pants and she directed me to some stirrup pants. She said that they were supposed to be very popular this fall. I almost did not believe her when she said it. I remember wearing them when I was in elementary school (circa 1991). I know how styles eventually come back around but I hope I do not fall back into wearing these crazy pants!

I also got the cutest outfit at baby Gap. Jasper will not be able to wear it until this time next year but it is so cute! It is some khaki roll-up cargo pants with a white button down shirt with embroidery down each side of the buttons. I am already planning our little family picture together!

I forgot to write that this weekend that we bought a crib. We lucked up so much. I had already looked at it and when Jeremy and I went it was on clearance. Jeremy then asked the lady about getting it and she said it was the last one they had. It had some scratches on it so we got an extra 15% off the clearance price. Hopefully, we can get the baby bedding soon so that the room can start coming together. I do not want to wait until the last minute to get it done.

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!

So we found out today that we are having a boy! We are so excited and I cannot wait to see his beautiful face. We got two good pictures of his manhood to confirm that he was a boy. It was the sweetest thing to watch the ultrasound. He looked like he grabbed his nose and also looked like he was trying to suck his thumb in one picture. I will put the pictures up later.

For those of you who do not know, we are naming him Jasper Stephen. It is after one of Jeremy's great grandfathers.

It was funny too because Jeremy and I both wore blue today to the doctor. I am also glad it was a boy because Jeremy's aunt had already bought us a boy outfit.

Black Baby!

So know that I have told Josh's mom the story I am going to put it on here for everyone to get a little laugh. Josh was watching TV at my house last week and had an epiphany.

Josh: Caroline, you are going to have a black baby.
Me: Why do you say that Josh?
Josh: Because, black people have black babies.
Me: (trying not to laugh) Well Josh, I am not black.
Josh: (looking at me really confused)

The next day he had a pool party for his school and he said that one of the girls is in his class was black and she looked like me. I told Josh that she was not black either. I told Josh that I was Indian like the Pilgrims and Indians around Thanksgiving.

Josh: If you are Indian then what is Jeremy?
Me: (I should have said a pilgrim) He is just white.
