YAY Jeremy!

I just wanted to make sure everyone knew how amazing my husband was. This year has been ruff on us, especially financially. When Jeremy started his new job in May, I was very apprehensive. I supported him in his decision to begin selling insurance after losing his job offshore. I am very proud of him because of how hard he has worked to make sure Jasper and I are taken care of. Jeremy's first full quarter with the company he has attained the position of #1 in his division. YAY!!! He seems to enjoy his new job and I am glad he found a job that is not just a job to pay the bills but a job that he wants to do!

This past weekend we celebrated Jeremy's 28th birthday in Auburn. All he wanted was to tailgate and go to a football game. We spent the weekend with some friends and had such a great time. We are so lucky to have great friends that allowed us to stay with them. We have also taught Jasper to raise his arms when we say "Touchdown Auburn." It is SOOOO cute!

Oh the joys of teething!

So the last couple of days have been crazy at the house. Jasper is teething and it is really bothering him. We are all ready for these next teeth to come in. He is drooling constantly and is trying to bite me all the time. I know he is not trying to bite me just to bite because he has never done that but his poor teeth are hurting so bad that I just can not get too mad.

Today, Jasper was so funny playing. Since he is walking around so good now he plays a lot more alone and all over the house. Thank goodness we do not have stairs to worry about! If Jasper is not in my eyesight, all I have to is say his name and he toddles to wherever I am. Lately, he has been playing with a curtain rod from the kitchen and you can hear it dragging across the tile so we know where he is at when he is playing with that.

He is getting so big and is slowly being able to get on all fours and rock. He has been army crawling but has not actually crawled on all fours. I hope he does not decide to do this in the next day or so since Jeremy is gone to Georgia.

I am hoping to keep up my blogging better now that Jasper is sleeping in his crib and I can type a lot easier and not go to bed so early. I just have to start going to bed earlier than I have in the last week so that I am not worn out the next day!

Allergies

It's official, Jasper has a milk and egg allergy. He also had a slight reaction to wheat but he has eaten it before and not had a reaction so I will just have to watch that too. This should be a fun adventure for at least the next year. We will go again next year and they will re-test him to see if there are any changes. Hopefully, he will grow out of this but if not I will grow to be a creative cooker! I have already had a lot of great suggestions on what to give him, recipes, help from others who have dealt or are dealing with this.

Day 1

We got the 30 day Shred DVD in today and I popped it in tonight and did it! I feel like jello but I do not care what it takes. Jeremy is leaving early in the morning to meet the book selling kids so I did it alone tonight. Jeremy has no other excuse from now on. We are going to jump on this train together. The people at Weight Watchers say that you do better when you have a partner. Jeremy is not only my partner in life but he is going to be my workout partner to make sure I stick with it. Let's see how it goes!

30 Day Shred

So I have had such a hard time trying to lose my baby weight. I am not sure if it is because I am still nursing and my hormones are still just crazy. I do not know why but I am tired of carrying it around. I do not feel like myself and we are hopfully going to Mexico in November and I DO NOT want to look like this in Mexico. I ordered the 30 Day Shred off of eBay and I should get it in a couple of days. Jeremy and I have decided to do it every night after we put Jasper to bed. I am glad I have Jeremy on my side and he also wants to lose his "baby" weight. He gained weight with me while I was pregnant, hehe. After I get it in, I will try to update on how it is going.

Sleep

Well, let me update everyone. Jasper is now walking all over the house! He follows me like a puppy dog. He is still not crawling but he is trying a lot more now. He is just a little backwards, hehe. Last week, Jeremy and I decided to finally put Jasper in his crib. I was so nervous because I have read so many horror stories. The first night he slept 8 hours and from then on he sleeps almost 10 hours in his bed then another hour and a half in ours in the morning! We would have put him in his bed earlier if we knew we had such a good sleeper!

Jasper is growing up so fast. H is such a giggle box and wakes up smiling and happy. We could not ask for a better child. Jeremy and I were talking about when we have our next one and that we are going to be so nervous because Jasper is just SO good and could we actually have another that will so good? Hopefully so but it will be a few years before we really have to worry about that.

I am starting to plan his birthday party. It is going to be a lil' tiger theme. I did not want it to be too themey(sp?) but since we are such big Auburn fans, I thought this would be a cute way to do it baby style. Poor Jasper is going to have to deal with his birthday being during football season. The Auburn game is not a big game this year but Alabama will be playing Florida at home so I do not expect any of my Alabama friends to come. I understand the importance, sort of!

And he is off...

He is walking better and better each day. He is getting so much more courage to just step off. If you have facebook, you can check out the video posted by Jeremy that I tagged myself in. I am on my computer and I will try to post it on here from Jeremy's computer sometime this week. It is so cute!

Happy Birthday America!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

I am a little late on posting Jasper's 9 month birthday but Happy 9 month birthday Jasper! He is changing everyday and I can not believe how fast he is growing. Today he also started walking better. He is taking steps without holding on and has just about walked across the living room without any help. Jeremy is gone to Chicago for a business trip and he will not believe the changes since he left on Saturday.

Please sign in

It has been so long since I have posted that I had to re-log in. We have had a great month here at the Adams' household. Jasper took some steps on his own on Father's Day. We count them as steps but all he does is take a couple and fall into our arms but they count to us! We have gotten his a toy to push now and he goes 90 mph around the house. Yesterday, Jasper's topleft tooth broke through and the right one should be here in a couple of days!

We tried to see if Jasper would sleep in the bed with just Jeremy last night but since he is teething, he nurses a lot at night because of the pain and it did not happen. We decided that after the right tooth pops throught we are putting him in his crib. I am kind of excited and kind of sad at the same time. I LOVE my little cuddle bug but it will be nice to have my big cuddle bug back. This is our first move so that hopefully we will be able to go to Mexico in November. Jeremy's new job has a vacation incintive and if Jeremy makes a certain qouta, we will get a free trip to Mexico!

Bye-Bye

Today Jasper waved bye to my cousin's Molly and Mindy. It was so funny becausee were going to bed and I wasn't even watching him. As we walked off, they waved bye to him and he waved back. I was so excited and I wanted to make sure it was not a fluke too, so I went back again. He did it agan! Yay!

WOW!!

I can not believe it has almost been a month since I have posted. A LOT has happened over the past month. Jasper now has two bottom teeth, will take a couple of steps around the couch if you bribe him, and started saying DADA the other day! It is crazy how fast things change. Jasper is sleeping on my lap so no new pictures yet but I will update soon.

Jeremy's new job is going great! I am so proud of him and he has been working so hard. Last week, the only person who sold more units than him was his boss and only by 15 units!

Right now, we are battling an ear infection and a little bit of RSV again. He has gotten me sick so the past week has not been fun. I got his pictures made and we got those back this week. They turned out so well! Send me a comment and I will give you the password to look at them.

Happy Birthday MeMe!

Today was Jasper's MeMe's birthday. She came up for a visit with Pops, Aunt Suzy, and Nanny. We went out to eat at Ruby Tuesday which was yummy as usual. Jasper decided he did not want to take his usual naps since there was so much going on so he got a little fussy. He had SO much fun playing with everyone though. We will get to see everyone again in about 2 weeks!

Jeremy also got back from training this week. I guess he is all official now. We are going to get business cards printed ASAP! He is so excited about his new job. He has set himself some goals and I am so excited to see him so happy again. I was watching TV the other day and they said, "happy wife, happy life." I imagine that may be true for the husband but if I did not have someone as amazing as Jeremy to share that with then I would never be as happy as I am. Soooo...BUY SOME INSURANCE FROM MY HUBBY!!! It is really good supplemental insurance. Just send me a comment if you are interested!

Sitting Tall

I am so excited that Jasper is finally sitting up on his own. He is still trying to get a hang of it but he does it pretty well when he is playing with "Scout" the dog that his Aunt Mandy and Uncle Richard got him. Sorry about not having pictures but Jasper is nursing/going to sleep and the camera is across the room. I will try to post pictures tomorrow. I feel like it has taken forever and I was so excited for him to get to his next milestone.

Speaking of milestones...I loved Jasper being so small, when all he did was eat and sleep but I love helping him grow and learn new things. It is just amazing to see him change!

Happy 7 month Birthday!!

Another month has flown by. I can not believe he is 7 months old today! In the past month he has gained about 2 pounds and probably grown an inch. He is starting to look so much older and his personality is really starting to come out. We are so blessed to have such a happy baby. He hardly ever fusses and as long as you are outside or letting him walk he is happy.

We still do not have any teeth but you can really feel them coming through now. I really want them to break through but I just hope he will not be a biter!

Baby weight

So I have had trouble getting rid of my baby weight. I tried weight watchers but I got tired of paying to lose .2 pounds. I have to make sure I get enough calories since I am still breastfeeding so I really can not diet. My Dr said to not even worry too much until I stop and my mom told me that she never lost any until she stopped nursing me too. So all I can do now is TRY to watch what I eat and exercise. I made sure and emphasised try because I have developed a sweet tooth. When I was pregnant, I did not want sweets so I guess my body is making up for it.

I have joined a mommy walking group and I hope this will help with the weight. It is so much more fun to walk with other people than by myself. I have met some new people that are not originally from Gardendale. The first day we walked I was sure I was going to know the people I was meeting but I was wrong. I am not sure if walking with Jasper in the stroller will be able to continue because he never goes to sleep and we always have to get him out because he starts to fuss. I may have to put him in my front carrier so that he will enjoy it a little more.

BIG changes!

The last couple of weeks have been a little crazy in the Adams' household. Jeremy now has a new job. He will begin selling insurance. He will be working for a company that he worked with when he was in college. It is a great company and there are a couple of guys that he worked with a few years ago that he will be working with. I defintely think this will be a great move for Jeremy. He has always wanted to do this and I am glad that he is able to get a job that he will enjoy a lot better that working offshore.

Jasper is growing by the minute. I got him on the scale the other day and he has gained about 2 pounds this month. He is getting taller too! I think he may be tall like his daddy. At first I wasn't sure if he was really going to be tall but he is growing lengthwise so fast. He is about to start wearing 12 month clothes! Jasper's newest thing is that he LOVES to walk around the house. Of course, he is holding onto our fingers but that is what will calm him down now when he gets fussy.

Easter

Jasper celebrated his first Easter at his Meme and Pops' house. His meme made his outfit and it turned out beautifully. I am so blessed to have a Mother-in-law that is so talented. We woke up early and went to sunrise service with Jeremy's nanny then went to the Catholic church in Butler. When we got back we ate, hunted Easter eggs, and went to visit some friends who were in town. We had a great time and can not believe how fast Jasper is growing.

19 Kids and counting

I love reality TV. 19 Kids and Counting is just one that I follow. I was watching it last night and Michelle (the mom) said something that I could relate to. She was talking with the Dr about Josie. Josie was born at 25 weeks and is in the NICU. The Dr said she was below the curve on her weight and that they were supplementing Michelle's breastmilk with formula. Michelle commented that her breastmilk was like skim milk and that she had small babies until they started eating solids. I am the same way. After Jasper was born it took him about a month to gain back his birth weight. My Ped was not worried but everything I kept reading said he should have gained it back in 2 weeks. My husband and his family were worried but no one in my family ever worried because the babies on my side of the family were small like Jasper. I am glad that I trusted my instinct and did not worry about what the numbers were. Jasper was and is a happy baby and never seemed like he needed any thing more than what I was providing. Jasper is not a fat baby and my ped says she prefers it that way. I am so glad I am able to use someone that I already trusted so much to be Jasper's Dr. Jasper may not be in the upper percentiles in weight and height but to me he is just perfect.

We started cereal at 4 months which was earlier than I was planning but he was reaching for food and even though we were told to start it earlier he never wanted it until about 4 months. Now he eats like a champ and I can not wait to start 2 feedings after he turns 6 months! We have also found out that he does not like prunes. He eats a couple of bites and begins to spit it out and cry. It is so pitiful.

Everything is coming up roses and daffodils

Sorry I have not posted anything about Jasper but I would also like to give everyone a chance to learn more about something that I care about. While I was at Auburn, I became a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. It became a part of not just the things I did around Auburn but it became a part of me. I try everyday to uphold the standards that were taught to me. One of these things was charity. AOII supports juvenile arthritis research and here is a link if you would like to donate. They have made it very easy! Thanks!

Such a big boy!

It amazes me how fast Jasper is growing up and achieving different milestones. I am so glad that he is now learning to play by himself. As much as I love playing with him, it is nice to be able to do things without having him attached. He is kind of a high maintenance baby and I wouldn't change it for anything.

When we were on our way back from Wal-mart today and of course he is in the backseat. The carseat is not his favorite place to be so I usually spend short car rides talking to Jasper since that helps keep him calm. Today I was more afraid of a screaming trip home because he had gotten fussy as we were checking out. I loaded the truck and snapped him in, pulled out of the parking lot and began to hear coos, ahhs, shrills, and screams from the backseat. He was playing with his carseat toys and talking to himself. If I only knew what he was aying. It was the sweetest thing I have ever heard. I am sure it will only get better but it is the little moments that makes being a mom so rewarding.

Congrats!!

I am so excited to let everyone know that my sister got into pharmacy school at Samford! I am so proud of her. She has worked so hard in high school and college to achieve this goal. I am also glad that I will have someone else in the medical field in the family. She is so smart! Congrats sister!!

Jasper loves his jumperoo

Jasper in his snowsuit

Jasper's first snow (that he was awake to see)

eating carrots!!

I guess I forgotten all about my blog for the last month. I haven't been any busier than usual I have just forgotten.

Jasper is getting bigger by the day. He is now eating about 2 Tbsp of cereal and a whole container of a veggie a day. He loves his veggies. I have a whole bunch of pictures to post but I will try to do the most important over the next couple of days.

We are now dealing with our first cold. The bad thing is that the cold is not just a cold it is RSV. If not taken care of, many babies end up in the hospital. He is doing better so far, so cross your fingers he continues and we will not have to make a trip to the NICU. You would never know he is that sick if you saw him. He is still happy all day and playing. He just sounds cruddy.
